together.

Multi-SFM is a plugin that puts several people in the same Source Filmmaker scene. Animate, light and stage a shot as a team, and see every change as it happens.

What it does

One scene. Everyone in it.

Multi-SFM runs inside Source Filmmaker. One person hosts a party, the others join, and the scene stays in step for everyone, from keyframes to lights.

Live scene sync

Keyframes, transforms, face sliders, lights, cameras and particles reach every player while you work. People who join late receive the current scene.

Private parties

Create a party, share its Party ID and set a password if you like. The host lets each person in and decides what they may do.

Roles and permissions

Director, Animator, Model Editor, Lighting Artist, Particle Artist, Camera Operator or Viewer. The server checks every change against the role.

Custom models travel with the scene

Models, materials, particles and sounds a player is missing are offered from the person who added them, so nobody sees an error model.

Talk where you work

Party chat with pictures, notes pinned in the 3D view, and everyone's camera shown with a name tag. Voice chat in parties hosted on Creator.

Private by design

Everything goes through the Multi-SFM server over an encrypted connection. Players never see each other's IP addresses.

How it works

From your scene to a shared one in a minute.

  1. Install the plugin

Copy one file into SFM's scripts folder and open it from the Scripts menu.

  2. Host a party

Open your session, create a party and send the Party ID to your team.

  3. Work together

Accept each person with a role. Their edits appear in your scene, and yours in theirs.

Inside the plugin

Know who is doing what.

The party window lists everyone with their role and connection, keeps the chat next to the scene, and shows when sync is running.

  • Join requests wait for the host's approval
  • Roles can be changed while the party runs
  • Available in English, Turkish, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, German, French and Polish
